Dr. C'monee' Wilkins

Greetings Clarke Elementary School Families,

I am Dr. C'monee' Wilkins, honored to serve as the Principal at Clarke Elementary School for the current academic year. With nine years of dedicated service in Vance County, my journey in education has been diverse and enriching.

Originating from Elizabeth City, North Carolina, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Elizabeth City State University. My passion for education led me to attain a Master's in Public Administration with concentrations in Educational Policy and Non-Profits from North Carolina Central University. Furthering my commitment to educational leadership, I achieved a Master of Arts in School Administration from Gardner Webb University and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Fayetteville State University.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of teaching 6th-8th grade English at Eaton Johnson Middle School and Vance County Middle School. Additionally, I served as an Instructional Coach at Zeb Vance Elementary, supporting 3rd-5th teachers and scholars in reading and science. Last year, I proudly assumed the role of Assistant Principal at Clarke, paving the way for my current position as Principal.

My professional journey reflects a commitment to student success, instructional innovation, and community engagement. I am aligned with the district's mission and values, and I am dedicated to working collaboratively with our families. Together, we aim to fulfill our school's motto, "EVERY CHILD, EVERY CHANCE, EVERY DAY."

I am excited about the incredible achievements we will accomplish together this school year. Let us embrace "Bulldog Excellence" as we embark on a journey of growth, learning, and success. Here at Clarke we are excited about creating an environment where every student feels safe, loved, and valued. A place where students and teachers love learning, and we can build the skills to become life long learners.

I am looking forward to a fantastic school year ahead!
